Which fire company covers your road in the Town of Ghent?
Under the Town of Ghent’s 2026 fire protection contracts, Ghent Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 provides primary first-due protection across 18,954 acres (~29.6 sq. miles) of the town, while West Ghent VFC (7,643 acres along the western Route 9H corridor), Mellenville FD (1,110 acres on southern CR 9), and Chatham FD (775 acres in Chatham FPD #2 + 394 acres in the Village) cover their respective contract areas and respond together via mutual aid.
